If you’re a South African student looking to further your education but lack the financial means, the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. NSFAS provides bursaries to eligible students studying at public institutions across the country, covering a wide range of courses, qualifications, and degrees — but only under certain conditions.

In this article, we break down what courses can be funded by NSFAS, which institutions are supported, the types and duration of qualifications eligible, and who qualifies for NSFAS assistance.

What Types of Courses and Qualifications Are Funded by NSFAS?
